Compensation & Shifts

Loewen wages operate on a leveled pay scale based on industry averages and agreed upon by a committee of employees and human resources personnel. Each job within the Loewen organization has a predetermined level.

Weekend Shift

  • Friday (4:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.), Saturday and Sunday (6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.)
  • Full time = 36 hours
  • Longer vacation periods (3 days vacation = 11 consecutive days off)
  • Savings on travel and childcare expenses

Evening Shift

  • Monday to Thursday (4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.)
  • Full time = 40 hours

Day Shift

  • Monday to Friday (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
  • Full time = 40 hours

General Compensation

  • Wage reviews at three, six, 12, 18 and 24 months; yearly thereafter
  • Advanced manufacturing positions offer competitive wages based on a job classification scale
